Craig Stephen "Steve" Hetherington, age 52, of Rose City passed away at his home Wednesday, April 24, 2013 after a 16-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Steve was a big NASCAR fan. He was a race car driver himself at local tracks in Michigan including Whittemore, Tri-City and Merritt Speedways. Steve was known for lending a helping hand when anybody called. The last 14 ½ years of his life he spent with Debbie enjoying life as much as he could.
Steve worked in the hardware department and one time had his own business, "Steve's Pump Repair" and before he was disabled, he worked for Webb Well Drilling.
Steve will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Steve is survived by his significant other, Debbie Lewis; his brothers, Bob (Betty) Hetherington and Greg Hetherington; and his step-sister Danielle Kinley. Also surviving are his special friends, Ed and Sue, Tom and Sue and Helen Lewis; and many aunts, uncles and many other dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Hetherington; his mother, Cora Ertl; his brother, Les Hetherington; and a special dog, Ladie.
Memorial Contributions may be made to any local Humane Society or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
