Donald Leroy Gingerich of Tawas City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, age 83 years.

Don was born on May 27, 1929 in Alabaster Township to Rudy and Jeanette Gingerich. He graduated from Tawas City High School. Don married his lovely wife, Louise Faith (Luedtke) on Feb. 17, 1950. Together they celebrated 62 beautiful years of marriage.
Those who knew and loved Don will always remember how he truly loved spending quality time with his family, fishing and driving trucks. He was a self-employed owner and operator of Gingerich Feed & Implements, Inc. for many years.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Louise Gingerich of Tawas City; three sons and one daughter, Michael (Del Marie) Gingerich of Tucson, Ariz., Mark (Carol) Gingerich of National City, Dianne Gingerich of Tawas City and Scott (Rhonda) Gingerich of Tawas City; 11 grandchildren, Craig (Cheri) Stein, Trevor (Rebecca) Gingerich, Noel (Andrea) Gingerich, Rachel Gingerich, Donald (Michelle) Gingerich, Daniel Gingerich, Leah Gingerich, Erin (Mark) Nunn, Cassandra Gingerich, Shannon Gingerich and Kaitlin Tarter; four great grandchildren, William and Tyler Stein, and McKenzie and Mason Nunn; two brothers, Marvin Gingerich of Tawas City, and Robert (Carla Jean) Gingerich of Grayling; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Jeanette Gingerich; and a brother, Larry Gingerich.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City with Pastor Johnathan Schnose officiating. His family will welcome friends at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment will take place in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
