Duane Froelich Obituary

Duane Edward Froelich was born in Pontiac on Feb. 5, 1966. He is the oldest of three sons, born to Beverly and John Froelich.
He graduated from Oscoda High School in 1984 and Central Michigan University in 1992. Duane devoted his life to what he loved – entertaining. He spent 20 plus years working in the restaurant industry in Columbus, Ohio. After moving back to Oscoda in 2012, he began working at Cooper Standard.
Duane's death was a testament to how he lived his life: "Go BIG or go home!" Never sick a day in his life, he was hospitalized on Mother's Day with pneumonia. During his 27 days in ICU, Duane gave a big fight, but on June 9, he died peacefully and went home to rest with the Lord.
He is survived by his younger brother, Greg Froelich and wife Angie and their daughters Mikayla, Madison and McKenzie. His youngest brother, Steve Froelich, works and resides in Texas. He is also survived by his mother (Beverly), father (John), and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Duane's life partner of 20 years, Greg Ries, will continue to live in the home they built together.
Duane's ashes and spirit will come to rest in Oscoda at a private family memorial at a later date.
