George Harold Bissonnette, age 96, of Hale passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Sherman Glen Assisted Living, National City.

George was born in Chicago, Ill. on June 26, 1917 to the late Peter Noel and Mary (Cadieux) Bissonnette.
Mr. Bissonnette was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Frances V. Bissonnette of Hale; his seven brothers, Arthur, Francis, Victor, Edward, Joseph, Louis and Tony Bissonnette; and one sister, Marie (Bissonnette) Pember.
He is survived by his two sons, William (Donna) Bissonnette of Everett, Wash. and Robert (Judy) Bissonnette of Sanford. Also surviving are three grandsons, Brett Bissonnette of Englewood, Ohio and Alan and Brian Bissonnette of Auburn; and a great grandson, Ryan Paul Bissonnette of Englewood.
George loved his construction work building homes in the Hale area, farming, ice fishing and deer hunting. He was always ready and willing to help friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all his many friends and family.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Hale where he was an usher for 50 years.
