Helen V. Webster, age 96, of Oscoda died on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 in Fenton.

She was born in Omer on June 8, 1916 to the late San and Mildred Jose (nee Dowker). Helen graduated from Bay City Central High School. Her working career as an administrative assistant and treasurer for the Oscoda United Methodist Church spanned 32 years. Helen was a member of the Business and Professional Women, Hotline of Oscoda, American Legion Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge and FISH.
She is survived by her son, Bruce (Dorothy) Webster of Rochester; son, Tom (Marcy) Webster of Lebanon, Tenn.; son, Harry (Lawna) Webster of Sandy, Utah; son, Richard (Beverly) Webster of Durand; daughter, Nancy (John McGonigal) Webster of Wolverine; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and sister, Emily Schachterle of Oscoda. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Webster; sister, Charlotte Doremire; brother, Chester Jose; and granddaughter, Christina Webster.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. at Oscoda United Methodist Church with Rev. Briony Desotell officiating.
