Karen A. Haberland of Pinckney, formerly of Oscoda and Bay City, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital at age 66.

She was born July 18, 1946 in Bay City. Karen married Richard Haberland on Aug. 13, 1966 and they were married for 41 years. She retired in 1999 from Farm Credit Services.
Karen enjoyed time with her family, knitting, reading, camping and spending time in her flower gardens. Her faith in God was strong and she was always positive and ready to help her family and friends.
Surviving are her two sons, Martin (Rhonda) of Pinckney and John (Karen) of Ann Arbor; three grandsons, Casey, Nathan and James; two brothers, Mike (Kathleen) Walraven and Tom Walraven; four sisters, Mary (Douglas) Rousse, Sandra Walraven, Joan Rohde and Susan (James) Maus; her stepmother, Donna Walraven; along with many nieces, nephews and her dog Molly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Haberland; her parents, Vern and Frances Walraven; and three brothers, Vern Walraven Jr, Joseph Walraven and David Walraven.
Her Healing Farewell will be held Saturday, April 27 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dexter with a 10 a.m. gathering and an 11 a.m. service.
