Kenneth Eldon Mitchell Sr. of East Tawas passed away peacefully under the loving care of his family on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at his home after battling a long term lung associated illness.
Kenneth was born on Sept. 15, 1958 in Detroit to E. Kenneth and Florence Agnes (Dixon) Mitchell. He was a very skilled dry wall installer and finisher who owned and operated the Mitchell Dry Wall company for many years. He will always be remembered for the way he absolutely adored and cherished all of his family and friends.
Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and camping. He was crafty with his hands and could build almost anything with wood, but building bird houses were among his favorite. Kenneth and his sons were true into the sport of mud-bogging. Many fond memories and stories can be shared of their times together in the mud trucks and off road quads.
Kenneth married his lovely wife, Della Marie (Farver) on July 12, 1980 in East Tawas at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Together they celebrated 32 beautiful years of marriage.
