Lowell Frisch of East Tawas passed away March 4, 2013 at the age of 79.

Lowell was born on Nov. 12, 1933 in Saginaw to Lewis and Ruby (Frost) Frisch. He was a resident of East Tawas for 21 years and had previously lived in Grand Blanc for 24 years.
Lowell retired from teaching in January of 1989. He taught social studies in the Brandon school district in Ortonville for 27 years and had previously taught in the Hillman school district.
Lowell served in the Army and was a first lieutenant in the Army Armored Tank Division. Among his many interests, Lowell enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, reading and cultivating new friendships. He was a member of the Iosco Sportsman's Club and attended Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Tawas.
Lowell is survived by his wife Nancy (Temple) Frisch. They were married in Ann Arbor on Dec. 27, 1967. Lowell is also survived by his daughter, Anne (Stephen) Martin; brother, Eldon (Jenny) Frisch; sister, Elaine (Harry) Doerin;, sister-in-law, Lila Frisch; and brother-in-law, John, and sister-in-law, Tonnie Temple. He is also survived by grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Vondra, Katrina Vondra, Robert Vondra, and Brandon (Randi) Vondra; great grandchildren, Gavin, Ian, Sophia, James, J.J., Emily, Erica and Ja'Nai; and several nieces and nephews. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ruby Frisch; brother, Lewis Frisch; in-laws, John and Bernice Temple; nephew, Christopher Temple; and sister-in-law Joanne Williams.
Visitation will be held March 9, from noon until 1 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Tawas conducted by Pastor Matt Carpenter. Cremation has taken place.
