Mary E. Beauparland (nee Erickson), age 85, of Tawas City, a former resident of Au Train, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and hospice on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Rolling Acres in East Tawas.

She was born the daughter of John and Louise (nee Boogren) on Oct. 21, 1928 in Rumely and raised in the Au Train area. Mary graduated from William Mather High School in Munising in 1946.
On July 5, 1958, Mary married her best friend, Paul, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Munising and together they shared 54 years of marriage. Mary enjoyed bowling and loved spending time on the golf course. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she loved spending time with her family and sharing many of those times and memories at the hunting camp.
Mary is survived by her beloved daughter, Janice, and her husband, Gerald Groff; her adored grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Westcott, Tammy Hager (Spencer Gillings) and Eric (Sheila Wilson) Groff; nine loving great grandchildren, Miranda, Taylor, Joshua, Austin, Desirae, Justin, Chelsie, Riley and Dominic; a special great-great grandson, Dawson; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; siblings and their spouses, Hilma (Ted) Hyde, Nellie (Edward) Bellinger, Elaine (Leo) Ames and Robert (Katherine) Erickson; and her grandson, Scott Paul Groff.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12 at 1 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City with Father Lawrence Boks officiating. Visitation will be Monday at 11 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Recognition Plaza or the
