Michael Marfuta, age 88, a resident of National City since 1991 and formerly of Royal Oak, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.

Michael was a retired dental technician from Nelson Dental Ceramics in Ferndale, a U.S. World War II Army veteran who was wounded in action at Anzio, a lifetime member of the VFW in Royal Oak and will be missed by all the lives he touched.
He was the beloved husband of Jo.Ann (Watts) Marfuta for 55 years; loving father of Michael Marfuta (Debra), Robert Marfuta, Michael Montgomery (Christine), Louis Montgomery, Jody Guy and Murphy Stone the Dog; dear grandfather of 14; and great grandfather of 14. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jaynee Braun; brother, Alex Marfuta; and parents, Ralph and Nada Marfuta.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, 3725 Rochester Rd. (between Big Beaver and Wattles Roads), Troy, (248) 689-0700. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at Price Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to Disabled Veterans of America or the Parkinson Foundation.
