Miguel Vernard Herrera, formerly of Oscoda, passed away at his home in Brainerd, Minn. on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013 at 5 p.m. at the age of 72.

Miguel was preceded in death by his father, Miguel; his brothers, Richard and Timothy; and his daughter, Evelyn.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lee F. Herrera; mother Evelyn; brother John; sister Crystal; sons Michael V. Herrera, Timothy L. Herrera, David A. Herrera, Jeffery A. Shales and Daniel R. Morrison; daughters Lisa A. Thebo and Kimberly A. Hosier; also by 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Miguel was born in AuGres on July 31, 1941 and has resided in Brainerd for the last eight years. Miguel enjoyed fishing with his family and friends, garage sales, playing cards and just going for long rides with the boys looking for something to buy.
Miguel's services of remembrance were held at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home on Aug. 30, Pastor Bob Stockland officiating.
