Nancy C. Lockenour, age 49, of Greenbush died on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at her home.

She was born in Dearborn on Feb. 15, 1964 to the late Fred and Barbara Giannetti (nee Hoetger). Nancy graduated from Allen Park High School in 1982 and later earned her Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Michigan University.
The former Nancy Giannetti married Barry Lockenour in Allen Park on Dec. 1, 1990. She moved to the area in 1993 when her husband became a partner in the family business at Desi's Family Dining. Nancy then began working for Tawas St. Joseph Hospital as its first home care occupational therapist. In her 20 years caring for others, her unselfishness and desire to care for others touched so many lives throughout Northeast Michigan.
She enjoyed photography, boating and swimming in Lake Huron, vacationing with family and most all attending numerous activities to support her precious daughter Emily. Nancy loved planning parties and coordinating events for her entire family and friends to enjoy.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Lockenour; daughter, Emily Lockenour; brother, Timothy (Vicki) Giannetti; and mother-in-law, Janet (Ron) Mezey. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Giannetti.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 31 at 11 am at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. Rev. Thomas Barbret will officiate with interment to follow in Oscoda Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to
