Richard Matthew Broussard of East Tawas, age 74 years, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Standish Community Hospital.

He was born in Jeanerette, La. on Nov. 20, 1938 to the late Harry and Julie (Mendoza) Broussard.
Richard served in the U.S. Air Force as a mechanic from 1956 to 1961 in Germany and Maine. He retired from Auto Zone. He was a member of Hope Anglican Church in Oscoda where he was a reader and chalice bearer and was a volunteer at the front desk at St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City.
Survivors include his wife, Lora A. Broussard; a daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Donaghey; a brother, Gary (Joyce) Broussard; a sister, Nola Kay (Mike) Bergeron; and his mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Ann and Rev. Fr. Peter M. Cominos. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Glen Ours.
A memorial service will be held at Hope Anglican Church, 219 W. River Rd, Oscoda, on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. with a reception following the service. The Rev. Fr. Tom Anderson will officiate. Memorial gifts may be made to the
