Sandra Welton-Stahl, 66, of Lincoln, Neb. passed away July 17, 2012

Sandra was born in Durand. She graduated from Oscoda Area Schools and received a degree in social work from Western Michigan University. Additionally, she studied at Valley Hope in Norton, Kansas where she became a substance abuse counselor.
Sandra spent her adult life helping others with the majority of her time being spent as a probation officer and a substance abuse counselor.
She loved spending time with friends and family and particularly enjoyed Michigan festivals and activities. She made the most of every day and enjoyed going new places and learning new things.
She was preceded in death by her parents. William and Leila Welton of Greenbush. She is survived by her daughter, Leighun and husband Corey Brabec of Lincoln, Neb.; her son, Matthew Stahl and wife Jess of Saginaw; her sister, Gloria and husband Vern Hammons of Tawas City; her brother, Earl Welton and wife Anne of Oscoda; her brother, Chuck Welton and wife Becky of Bay City; her brother, Brian Welton of Rose; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow at Hope – St. John's Church.
