William Leonard Reed, age 53, passed away June 7, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw.
He was born in Detroit on March 18, 1960 to William and Mary Reed. After graduating high school, William joined the Army and served his country for four years. William married the love of his life, Monica, on June 13, 1992 in Durango, Colo. He was a resident of Oscoda for over 13 years and before that he lived in Hawaii for five years.
William enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the gun range, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the NRA and a supporter of the Wounded Warriors Project.
William is survived by his wife, Monica Reed (nee Ke-a); his parents, William and Mary Reed; his step-sons, Kaipo (Jenny) Kaleikilo and John Kaleikilo; and his sisters, Launa Reed, Leslie (Mike) Johnson, Janet (John) Wise and Victoria Reed. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. William was preceded in death by his grandmother, Violet Lake.
A celebration of his life will be held on June 23 at 2 p.m. at 6375 Loud Dr., Oscoda. Memorial contributions can be made to the and condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
