Jeannine A. Paton (nee Croteau), age 68, of Hale, formerly of Monroe, passed away Feb. 26, 2014.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was born in Alpena on July 7, 1945 to Albert and Beatrice Croteau. She worked for many years as a baker and cook at Jefferson High School in Monroe. She moved to Northern Michigan permanently to be closer to her siblings in 1999.
Jeannine had a giving heart, a very colorful personality, and everyone was a friend to her. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, playing cards and decorating her house and herself up for the holiday. She hated the color green; but loved life, scary movies, ripe mangos, auctions, but most of all she loved her friends. She volunteered her time to work at FISH, and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Red Hatter's organization.
She is survived by her son, Marc (Rachel) Paton of Belleville; and daughter, Sherri Pangburn of Monroe; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Randy, David, Giya and Geniya; siblings, Jean, Suzanne, Richard, Nina, Earline, Linda and Hazel; and her four legged family, Nibbles, Miaishia and Missy. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family received friends on Saturday, March 1 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the Hale chapel of Buresh Funeral Homes, 121 S. Washington St., Hale. Rev. David J. Goudie officiated the service. A private family burial will take place in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery, Alpena. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to FISH. On-line condolences may be sent to www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
