Jack D. Pease, age 74, of Tawas City died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Flint on Sept. 24, 1938 to the late Dudley and Helen Pease. Jack grew up in Dearborn and served in the United States Navy. He later worked for Ford Motor Company in Ypsilanti for 31 years until he retired in 1999.
Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge and Hemlock Road Baptist Church. He was a driver and coordinator for the Shriners Hospital trips to Cincinnati and Chicago. Jack was a sports fan, especially NASCAR, football and Red Wings hockey. He enjoyed being outdoors, working on projects and caring for birds.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie, whom he married on March 23, 1984 in Adrian; seven children, Jamie (Ben) Reedy of Eureka, Calif., Jackie (Bret Somers) Pease of Clinton Township, David (Kim) Pease of Homer, John (Brenda) Pease of Tekonsha, Julie (Randy) Preston of Camden, LeAnn (Brad) West of Jonesville and Diane Pease-Boze of Battle Creek; 18 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his brother, Jim (Pat) Pease of Dearborn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Pease.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. Memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospital Burn Unit 3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095 and condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
