Andrew L. Bowman, 77, of East Tawas died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at home.

He was the son of Lloyd and Ella Bowman. Andrew was a graduate of Tawas Area High School. He obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and later served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years retiring with the rank of lieutenant commander.
He enjoyed fishing in our local lakes and gardening. He was an avid Michigan fan. Go Blue!
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Geneva (Ulman); two sons, Robert and Gray (Nancy); two daughters, Genette (Steve) and Michele; a sister, Kay Curtis; three grandchildren, Chelsea (Ryan), Jonathan, and Aiden; and beloved pet, Tator. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank. He was loved by many.
Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Navy Memorial Fund and the Iosco County Animal Shelter.
