Robert Carroll Obituary

Robert L. Carroll, 82, of Bluffton, passed away December 21, 2012 surrounded by his wife and loved ones. He was born on July 19, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of the late Fred and Mary Ellen Carroll. Bob resided in the Kansas City area until relocating to Hilton Head Island in 2000. He graduated from Southwest High School and Oklahoma State University. He was a CPA and worked for Arthur Anderson, before starting his own accounting firm. He retired in 1999. Bob was in the navy and served in the Korean War on the USS Boxer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Armel Carroll; daughters Susan Jones (Jerry) and Mary (Carroll) Davis; sons Stephen Carroll and Rob Carroll; and ten grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, PO Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910. A service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
