Davidson, Jeanne Walther  
Jeanne Walther Davidson Jeanne Walther Davidson, 90 years old, passed away peacefully at home in Bluffton on May 20, 2016. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Marie and Howard Walther. Jeanne met her husband, William, at the University of Pittsburgh. They had a blessed marriage of 60 years when he passed. She was predeceased by her brother, Howard Walther. Jeanne is survived by her two children, Jody Chessman, her husband Mark Chessman of Michigan and Connie Johnson of Bluffton; four grandchildren; Michaela Yates, her husband Mark Yates of Bluffton; David Chessman, his fianc‚, Erin Callaio of Colorado; Nolan Chessman and his wife Quinne of Illinois; and Shelby Chessman of New York; and two great grandbabies, Beckett and Coraline. A graveside ceremony will be held, Friday, May 27th at 4:00 p.m., at the Church of the Cross Memorial Garden. Any commemorative contributions may be made to THA Group Hospice. Doran, Sean  
Sean Doran 6/21/1950 - 5/20/2016 Sean passed away with his wife Katy at his side at Ogeechee Hospice. Sean was born June 21, 1950 in Coventry, England to Mary (Kelly) Doran and the late Sean Doran. Sean was raised in Ireland and immigrated to the US in 1963. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Katy, his mother Mary, his siblings Maureen, Rita and Brian (Ester) Doran, aunts, uncles, cousins ,many nieces, and nephews and the entire Kelly clan. Sean served in the US Army from 1968- 1970 and then spent 23 years in the NYC Police Department, teaching in the Police Academy and retiring as a Sergeant in 1996. While in the NYPD Sean earned a BS and MS from NYIT in Westbury L.I. After retiring to the Low Country of South Carolina he taught disadvantaged youths at Georgetown Marine Institute before embarking on a second career in Management in the Senior Retirement Industry. Retiring a second time in 2011. Sean was a member of the Bluffton Rotary, Commodore of the Moss Creek Yacht Club and an Usher at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, sailing, golfing, walking, reading, traveling, watching his beloved ND Fighting Irish and NY Mets and spending time with his extended family and enjoying each day of his life. That twinkle in his eye is forever gone but never forgotten by those his life touched. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, 45 Beach City Road Hilton Head on Tuesday, May 24 at 10:30 am. A celebration of his life will be held in June. Date TBD.
