Rabeor, Donald F. - Hilton Head Island  
Donald F. Rabeor, formerly of Lake Zurich, IL, died peacefully on April 24, 2015 at home on Hilton Head Island, SC at the age of 80. Don is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Peggy: sons Steven T. Rabeor (Debby), of Chicago, IL, James D. Rabeor (Lynn) of Hales Corners, WI, William H. Rabeor of Green Bay, WI and daughter Shawn L. Rabeor(Dana)of San Bernadino,CA; granddaughters Lauren Rabeor and Christina Bee; sister Dorothy Zahn of Victor NY; many nieces and nephews, loving family and friends. He was predeceased by brother Gary H. Rabeor. Born in Rochester, NY on March 1, 1935 to Harold and Alice (Brehse) Rabeor, Don was a standout athlete in basketball, soccer and baseball at East High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and later utilized the GI Bill to graduate from State University of New York at Brockport he played varsity basketball and soccer. He earned his Masters Degree at Indiana University. His teaching and coaching career spanned three decades culminating as Chairman of the physical education department at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview IL. In addition to teaching physical education, he was also the first varsity boys soccer and girls varsity basketball coach for many years. Don was inducted into the inaugural class of the Glenbrook South Coaches Hall of Fame. Don's professional expertise and enthusiasm for Lake Zurich, won him an election to the District 95 School Board. He was also instrumental in forming the first men's soccer league in Lake Zurich. As a lifelong sports enthusiast, Don was a devoted Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs fan. He and Peggy retired to Sea Pines in 1992 where Don served on the Maintenance and Security Committees for Community Services Associates. He also sat on the Board of Directors Calibogue Club POA. Although he faced physical challenges, Don never lost his fight, youthful spirit or laugh. A mentor to many with strong shoulder to always lean on, he will never be forgotten. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24 Pope Ave, Hilton Head Island SC at 10:00am on Thursday April 30, 2015 with a Liturgy of the Word to follow at 11:00am. Monsignor Joseph F. Hanley, Jr, will officiate the ceremony. Interment to follow at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines. Rae Sr., Joseph Thomas - Bluffton, Sc  
Joseph Thomas Rae, Sr., 86, of Bluffton, SC passed away at Savannah Hospice on May 18, 2015 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife and mother of his children, Irene Sara Rae; his parents, Thomas James and Etta Rae; his brother, John. He was born in Scranton PA and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a successful national sales manager for Standard Oil of Ohio before starting a family business in 1981 with his son. The business still remains today led by his son and daughter. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who received such joy from family gatherings and adventures. His love of travel brought he and his family to many places thru his well lived life. The friendships he made were numerous and deeply valued by him. He was the epitome of a gentle man. He is survived by loving wife, Elizabeth Sheehan Rae; his son, Joseph Jr. and his wife Liz of Franklin, MA; daughter, Kelly McCarthy and her husband Mike of Topsham, ME daughter, Polly of Trumbull, CT and daughter, Tami McGowan and her husband Bill of Taunton, MA; He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Amanda and Joseph III (Tommy). A service to celebrate his life will be held later this summer in Wilbraham, MA. Reese Jr., Charles D.  
Charles D. Reese, Jr.Charles David Reese, Jr., died peacefully on April 30, 2015 at Hospice House in Savannah. Charlie was born on January 13, 1930 in Barbourville, KY, the only child of Violet H. and Charles D. Reese. In 1936 the family moved to Louisville where Charlie was raised. He graduated from Male High School. During those years he played the coronet and started a popular dance band. Charlie graduated from the School of Speech at Northwestern University where he was a member of the varsity fencing team, ROTC and Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He served as Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller in Morocco and while living there, fenced on the United States team in the 1955 World Championship in Rome. After returning home, Charlie lived in Hudson, Ohio where he and his first wife, Eleanor Bailey Reese had three daughters, Elizabeth, Sarah and Julia. In 1965 he moved with his family to Pittsburgh, PA where he eventually started two companies. First in 1971, Reese Associates, an executive search firm and later TOQ Ski Products, born from his love of the sport. In 1977 Charlie married Alison Elizabeth Rich. That same year they bought their first time-share at Plantation Club in Sea Pines. Charlie planned to use it once or twice and then trade for exotic ski resorts. That didn't happen. The Reese's fell in love with the island and vacationed on Hilton Head for 22 years, finally moving in 1998, where they lived in Hilton Head Plantation for 15 years. During his retirement, Charlie established the Hilton Head Alumni Association of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Starting with only a handful of names and a phone, over a period of 16 years, he built an alumni group of over 50 members, men of all ages from undergraduate to one member in his 90's. Over 20 colleges and universities are represented. The Association fosters alumni fellowship and friendship while assisting active chapters in their development. It is affiliated with the SAE Alumni Associations in Jacksonville, FL, Georgia Southern University in Statesboro and the College of Charleston. In 2007, the national office of the Fraternity presented Charlie with an award for his continued leadership, dedication and loyal service. Charlie is survived by Alison, his wife of 38 years, his daughters: Elizabeth Reese Eifler of New Canaan, CT; Sarah Eleanor Reese of Bryn Mawr, PA, and Julia Reese Hill; his step-daughter, Suzanne Westlake (Jeffery) of Gaithersburg, MD, his grandsons: Reese, Morgan (Allegra), Wesley, Harry Eifler and Jeffery Westlake. He is also survived by his Aunt, Patricia Mellor (William) of Fort Myers, FL. A reception will be held on Sunday, May 17, from 11AM to 2PM at Spring Lake Pavilion in Hilton Head Plantation. Richardson, Mary Elaine Cenci - Hilton Head Island  
Mary Elaine Cenci Richardson, 69, was granted her angel wings May 14th, 2015, at home, with her family by her side in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She was born June14th, 1945, in Columbus Ohio. She was the da ughter of Pete and Mary Jane Cenci. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cecil Richardson, daughters Beth O'Gorman and Heather Richardson Albee, brothers Nicholas Cenci, Sandy Beech, Bob Newport, and her grandchildren, Brennan, Bridget, and John John O'Gorman. Elaine enjoyed traveling with her family to places such as Italy and China. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, cooking, and crafting. She left a legacy of gracefulness for everyone to follow. Rogen, Neil Elliott - Wellesley  
Neil Elliott Rogen, 82, of Bluffton, SC died May 1, 2015 in Savannah GA after a long battle with illness. Son of Harry and Sylvia Rogen, loving husband for 53 years of Elisabeth von Krogh Rogen. Neil is survived by his wife Elisabeth, his daughter Stephanie Rogen (Greenwich CT) his son, John Rogen (Bluffton SC) and his brother, Richard Rogen (Solon, OH). He is also survived by three grandchildren, William, Christopher, and Julia, all of whom live in Greenwich CT. Rogen was an inventor, an entrepreneur and a metallurgist with many patents in his field and numerous articles on materials engineering . A graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic and MIT, he was also a fellow of the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London. He was a member of the American Society Metals, American Institute Metallurgical Engineers, Sigma Xi and the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club. An avid learner and reader, he loved science and technology. He also enjoyed sailing, skiing and traveling with his wife. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, May 12 2015 at 11am at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Weston Massachusetts. Ridgeway Sr., Roy Olen - Hardeeville  
Roy Olen Ridgeway, Sr., 73, of Hardeeville, SC died Friday, April 17, 2015 at his home. Mr. Ridgeway was born on August 2, 1941 in Lake City, SC, the son of the late Henry Walter Ridgeway and Violet Weaver Ridgeway. He retired as a warden/technician with the South Carolina Forestry Commission. He was a member of Red Dam Baptist Church. He was the former owner of Roy's Variety Store in Hardeeville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ridgeway was preceded in death by his brother, John F. Ridgeway. He is survived by his wife, Peggie H. Ridgeway; sons, Roy O. Ridgeway, Jr. (Joann) of Manning, SC, Howell J. Ridgeway and Edward Dale Ridgeway, both of Hardeeville, SC; daughters, Rose Marie Parker of Faulkville, GA and Stacy Renee Blaker of Ashland, WI; brother, Alva Ridgeway (Mary Etta) of Bishopville, SC; sister, Cathy Ridgeway of Manning; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Pruitt Hospice.
