I've known Jon since we had lockers side by side at the Boston YMCA in the late 1970's. The lengthy obituary beautifully told the story of his life filled with accomplishments directly affecting the lives of others , most of them young men and women. An artist's portrait of Jon would show him with outstretched arms, saying "how can I help you " over and over again. The lesson. Jon taught all of us was to give back to society in every way possible. He will be missed by all of us. In Ireland Jon would be described as a "Kerryman".
