Virginia M. (Bekeritis) MichaelsBluffton, SC - Virginia M. (Bekeritis) Michaels, 91, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Salem, MA, died on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Bloom at Bluffton Senior Living in South Carolina. She was the loving wife of the late John W. Michaels. Born in Salem, MA, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Albina (Besson) Bekeritis. She graduated from Salem High School and from Bryant and Stratton Secretarial School in Boston. Mrs. Michaels worked as a secretary, most notably as secretary to the principal at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, MA. She loved to spend time decorating her home and entertaining. Her entire life centered around her family, her husband, children and grandchildren. She was so proud of all of them. She is survived by three children, Janet Loach, Elaine Rae (Peter) and Jeffrey Michaels (Amy); her grandchildren, Jennifer Loach (Karim Momin), Zachary, Joshua and Spencer Michaels, Kristen Lavoie (Lincoln), Lauren Sleeper (Dean), and Bryan and Emily Rae; and a great-grandchild, Chloe Huffman. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John Michaels; her sister, Edna Eaton; and her brother, Stanley Bekeritis. Her funeral was held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., corner of North St., Salem. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
