Rosalie Charboneau Obituary

Rosalie Guthrie Charboneau flew to heaven Sunday, July 1, 2012 from her home in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was born February 15, 1931 in Sawyer Kansas, grew up in Medicine Lodge, Kansas; graduated from Medicine Lodge High School c/o 1948. She traveled and lived many places, including California, Florida, Kwajalein in the Pacific Marshall Islands; and most recently in Beaufort, South Carolina. Rose was a creative and artistic lady who devoted herself to making the world around her more beautiful. She held many technical jobs including nurse, legal secretary, office manager, college administrator, bookkeeper and financial auditor. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother & grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. (Dick) Charboneau; her son, Gordon DuWayne Guthrie; her sister, Shirley L. Guthrie Schwersensky; and step-son, Terry L. Charboneau. She is survived by her sister, Anna Mae Guthrie Langford of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; her daughter, Crystal Renee (Cris) Charboneau Steele & son-in-law, Clarence Errell (Chip) Steele, III; three grandsons, Clay, Chandler & Christopher Steele of Beaufort, SC; step-daughter, Judith Ann Charboneau Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; three granddaughters, Mandy & Alison Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cecilia Renee Charboneau Neely; and five great-grandchildren, including a namesake, Abigail Rose of Winter Park, Florida. She will be dearly missed by those who love her. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Flowers and donations to the Rosalie Charboneau Memorial Fund may be sent to Anderson's Funeral Home in Beaufort, SC.
