Jettie Pruitt

1922 - 2017

Jettie Goodin Pruitt 94, died February 18, 2017 at the NMMC-Hospice in Tupelo. She was born April 22, 1922 to the late Oscar and Vista Goodin. She was the oldest member of the East Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she had been a member for 62 years. She was a retired employee of Blue Bell MFG with more than 42 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, puzzles, flowers and most of all spending time with her family.

Services will be Monday 2:00 pm at the East Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Bro Rex Bullock officiating with burial in the church cemetery. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hendrix, Baldwyn, sons, Mancil Pruitt (Jackie) and Doug Pruitt (Olivia), Both of Baldwyn. brother, James Goodin (Gerri), LA, grandchildren, Randy Tolar (Debra), Kimberly Hughes (Jeff), Allison McBrayer (Mike), Angelia Pruitt, Vince Pruitt (Missy), Eric Pruitt (Kim), Darren Pruitt (Patti), Derrick Pruitt (Kim), Lori Pippin (Gary), Mickie Hendrix (Dawn) and Carla Stone (Steve). (38) great grandchildren and (40) great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years W.D. Pruitt, her daughter, Peggy Tolar, son in law, Doug Hendrix, Sisters, Nettie Wingo, Betty Waters and Cordelia Martin, brothers, Herbert, J.V. and Alton Goodin and (3) great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers include, Mitch Chism, Bud Edge, Billy Gray, Mike Kesler, Russell Moore, Mike McBrayer, Howard Holmes and Jerry McCreary.

Honorary pallbearers, Jessie Chism Jr. and J.C. Chism.

The body will lie in state from noon till to service time at the church.
