Irene M. Dawson
(101) of San Bernardino passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2012. Irene taught school for 13 years in Lepanto, Arkansas and was a School Secretary in the San Bernardino City School District, and also worked as a clerk for the San Bernardino County Library. She graduated from Memphis State University. Irene was a member of Judson Baptist Church.
Irene was a loving wife, mother and grand- mother who's focus was family. She aided in the rearing of multiple generations of her grandchildren and great grand- children.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Carol Mason; son, Tom (Sue) Dawson; five grand children; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters Margie Smith and Dot Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty one years, Addison Dawson.
Graveside services will be held at Montecito Memorial Park 3520 East Washington Street, Colton, California on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Irene's name to the Redlands Community Hospital Hospice 350 Terracina Blvd., Redlands, CA 92373 Condolences may be sent on-line at www.bobbittchapel.com.
