Earle Eugene Kruggel
80, passed away March 4, 2013 in Rancho Cucamonga. He was born August 9, 1932, in Beaumont, CA, the youngest of four boys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Ferral Kruggel, and three brothers, Glenn, Vernon, and Charles.
He graduated from Chaffey High School in 1950 and joined the US Air Force in November for which he served four years. He married his high school sweetheart, Patty Tinkler, in 1952 and celebrated sixty years of marriage in 2012. They were blessed with three children, Kurt Steven, Sharon Lee, and Bryan Ray. They lived in Ontario until 1960 when they moved to Cucamonga.
In 1964, as a plumbing contractor, he opened a large plumbing shop, Eagle Plumbing Co., which plumbed many new homes and commercial buildings in San Bernardino and Riverside County and the Palm Springs area. He retired in 1988, but continued making real estate investments.
During retirement, Earle and Patty spent several years motor-homing all over the United States and Canada, after which they became "snow birds." They moved to Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island and then Anacortes, Washington, spending winters in Rancho Cucamonga and Palm Desert.
Besides his love for his family, Earle always loved the outdoors, dirt-biking with his family, gardening, hunting and fishing, which Anacortes provides all spring and summer. His latest love was for their dog, Tequila. He tolerated their noisy parrot, Sunny, a Sun Conure, but actually loved him too.
Although he was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 1995, treatment kept it in check and in remission during his last years. He caught pneumonia in February of this year and lost his courageous struggle while surrounded by family and many friends. He had his wonderful sense of humor until the very end.
Earle is survived by his wife, Patty, three children and their spouses, Kurt and Cherri, Sharon and Jay, Bryan and Tammy, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and a great-step-grandson.
He was a wonderful husband, family man and friend, and will be greatly missed.

to Patty and the Kruggel family
Earle brought so many gifts to our lives. I will miss his e-mails, his knowing stories, and his opinions on so many subjects.
His greatest joy was making others happy and sharing love and laughter with family and friends.
I know the sorrow you feel in your heart will be lightened by the love of those that surround you.
May that love help you through the days ahead. Take comfort in knowing he is watching over all of us.

Our hearts go out to the whole Kruggel family. We had a friendship for over forty years and will miss knowing Earle is not with Patty enjoying all the adventure they shared in life. May all the good memories help you through this difficult time.
