Martha Lee Gibson March 30, 1928 ~ April 9, 2014 Mom was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. Shortly after World War II Mom met and married our father, Hal Kirby Gibson. They lived in Pomeroy, Washington where our sister, Martha Jane, was born. in 1951 the family moved to Inglewood, California where Terry Hal and Chris Allen were born. As we grew older Mom went to work at PARCO making rubber products. She took great pride in her work and made many lifelong friends there. She was active in the company's bowling league, contributed to the company news letter, and particularly enjoyed all the company picnics. To make sure one of them was always home with us Mom worked nights and dad worked during the day. Sundays we were all home together and we looked forward to the great Sunday meals Mom made. The house would also fill with the sweet smell of her famous homemade cinnamon rolls. Mom was also very involved in PTA, being honored with a lifetime membership for all her contributions. In 1969 PARCO relocated to Ontario and we moved along with the company. Mom and dad bought their first and only home in Ontario which was one of the greatest pleasures of her life. Mom loved to entertain in her new home. In 1971 Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. As a result of this she became involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society forming an MS support group and volunteering for any procedure that might lead to a cure for MS. In 2007 Mom's age and MS had taken a toll and she moved to Upland Rehabilitation and Care Center. There she made many new friends and was fortunate to have so many caring staff members attend to her. She was preceded in death by our father Hal Kirby and our brother Chris Allen. She survived by our sister Martha Jane and son Terry Hal. At her request there will not be a service. Her ashes will be returned to Lewiston, Idaho and be spread over the hills she called home. Read Obituary
