Lentz, Sharlene - Topock  
Sharlene Lentz, 79 passed away peacefully at her home in Topock, Arizona on Thursday, April 7, 2016. She was born October 29, 1936 in Bloomington, Illinois to William and Ova (Shaffer) Whalen, and was the youngest of eight children. Sharlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was employed by San Bernardino Community Hospital for nearly 30 years. She retired from her position as Emergency Room Billing Supervisor in 2000, and soon after moved to Topock, Arizona with her husband Terry. In retirement, Sharlene thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her dogs, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Sharlene is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lentz of 33 years, residing in Topock, Arizona; sister, Leota Gaffney of Normal, Illinois; sister-in-law, Dorothy Whalen of Chenoa, Illinois; sons Donald Lehman of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Randy Flowers and his wife Gwen of Yucaipa, California; step-daughter, Collene Ortiz and her husband Robert of Dana Point, California; sixteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, George Lehman and Roy Flowers; brothers, Bernard Whalen, Gerald Whalen, Donald Whalen, in infancy, John Raymond Whalen; sisters, Mary Hein, and Eileen Shipley; son, Steven Lehman; and step-daughter, Christene Didier. Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 10:00 a.m. at Montecito Memorial Park in the Valley View Chapel.
