Edward "Bones" Bonestroo

Edward Bonestroo "Bones"
87, was born, August 12, 1926 in Hills, Minnesota, and at age 14 moved with his family to California. He spent the last 41 years in Ontario. Ed was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was very loved and respected in return by all who knew him. Ed served in the US Marines during World War II on the USS Tuscon, where he was honorably discharged. In the year 1960, he began B & G Hay Co., and remained co-owner for the next 30 years until he retired on November 10, 1990. He was a member of the Teamsters, NRA and the American Legion. In his spare time he loved to hunt, fish and take trips in the motor home. Following his retirement, he enjoyed restoring old trucks, cars and motorcycles. Ed was a man who had a heart for his community and always looked after his family and friends. Ed is survived by sons Tom and Tim. Daughter Tammy, grandchildren; Justin, Robin, Corey, Nick, Bonnie, and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alverna( Wiersma) Bonestroo, sisters Dena Winterswyk and Ida Den Ouden. He will be missed by many. A viewing will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Griffith in Chino. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday April 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. First United Reformed Church in Chino, followed by a reception then burial at 1:00 p.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside.
