Floyd Adams Jr.

Sunrise: Mar. 12, 1938 Sunset: Dec. 7, 2004 Floyd Adams, Jr. was born on March 12, 1938 to Floyd Adams Sr. and Lucille Adams of Henderson, Texas. He was the first child born of this union. He married Dorothy Bradley in 1956 and four children were born: daughters, Cilleana Adams Bradley of Pomona, CA, Cordie Adams of Slidell, LA, son, Floyd Adams III, who preceded him in death, and daughter Karen Adams Brown (husband, Don Brown) of Ontario, CA. He also leaves his mother, Lucille Adams Eunis and step-father, Willie Eunis; a son, Kerry Dale Manidier and a daughter-in-law, Rose Manidier of Montebello, CA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nieces,nephews, and other family members and morever, a dedicated family friend, Martha Tsai. Mr. Adams was a graduate of Harrison High School in Chicago, IL and received an AA degree from Los Angeles City College. From 1956-1958, Floyd served in the United States Marine Corps. Rockwell International employed him for 31 years as a Composite Tooling Supervisor until he retired. During his retirement , Floyd was a member of the Arroyo Golf Club. Through his love of the game, Floyd found new life in the sport and made many dear friends. Mr. Adams lived in Montebello, CA for 23 years. He managed the Oak Hills IV association and served as President, where he resided for 18 years. He served several uncontested terms of office. Floyd Adams Jr. departed this life on December 7, 2004 surrounded by his loving family and friends at home as he so desired. Mr. Admas left this earth prospering in the Christian Faith and spiritually continuing to mature in the word of God. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Shield of Faith Christian Center, 1750 W. Holt Blvd., Pomona, CA (909) 629-6294. Bishop Henry Lee Alexander officiating. Forest Lawn is in charge of arrangements.
