George Dewey Stagg III

GEORGE DEWEY STAGG III
58, of 2704 Del Norte Circle, Highland, entered into his individual peace on June 15, 2013 at home following a three year battle with lung cancer. He was born March 7, 1955 at St. Bernardine Hospital in San Bernardino to Edith and George D. Stagg II, both of whom pre-deceased him. He has been a life long resident of San Bernardino, attending Pacific High School from which he graduated in 1973. "Buddy," as he was known to his family and friends, during his early years learned "all there was to know about cars." He put that knowledge to effective and successful use from 1983 to 1985 as a salesman for Leman's Nissan Dealership in San Bernardino, then as that dealership's Used Car Manager from 1985 thru 1997. Following Leman's sale, George entered into the wholesale auto sales business, J & T Auto Sales, in partnership with Jim Verdone. He had to leave that partnership in 2010 when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. In 1975 he married Susan Padilla with whom he had a son, Christopher Michael, 37, of Colton. Susan passed away in 1980. After her death George met and married Erika Bantos with whom he had a daughter, Jessica Nicole, 28, of Redlands. In addition to his children, he is survived by Susie Bechtel, his "significant other" of 25 years with whom he shared his life and happiness; and his older sisters Barbara Ross of Banning, CA and Carol York of San Jose, CA. He also has a number of nieces and nephews. Following George's wishes, his remains were cremated and there will be no service. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the or The .
