Mildred Clark Lambert
Was born on 12/24/1919 at Fort HG Wright on Fishers Island, NY and passed away on 4/2/2014 in Victorville, CA. at the age of 94.
"Millie" was manager of the George Air Force Base Exchange for many years. She then moved on to work for Bank of America on the Base, then at the Victorville Branch on 7th Street and finished up her banking career as the vault teller at the branch in Claremont. "Millie" was active in fund raising for the church in Oro Grande, St. Mary's Hospital and St. Mary's School. She put on many variety shows-she was a really great Hilo Hattie and Sophie Tucker.
She loved to dance, play Bingo, play cards with her card group, go to State Line and just have fun in general.
She was blesses to have two wonderful husbands who preceded her in death- Kenneth "Jock" Clark 1939-1959 and Bruce Lambert 1961-2006.
She is survived by three children, Cheryl Clark of Alta Loma, CA, Ken Clark of Eugene, OR and Mike Lambert of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by her sister, Anna May Janas of Melbourne, FL and many nieces and nephews.
"Millie" was also blessed to have many wonderful friends from all walks of her life. She often said one of the secrets of getting older was to have younger friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Clubhouse of the Gold West Mobile Home Park at 15252 Seneca in Victorville on 4/16/2014 at 12:00. There will be a private Mortuary Inurnment.
