Lowell S. Hill
80, passed away in the arms of his loving wife on April 11, 2014 of natural causes. He was a man of tremendous character and integrity. He is remembered for his selfless, giving spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara and his 5 children; Lowell "Tony" Hill & wife Cindy, Velma Ferrari, Barbara Hill, Sandy Westergren and Stanley Hill & wife Noy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was born on February 5, 1934 and raised in Rantoul, Illinois. He served in the US Army and later taught at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. He managed the Ernst W. Dorn Company prior to opening his own business, Lowell S. Hill Enterprises, in 1963. He ran his silk screen manufacturing business with innovation and true passion for the industry. He was a member of the Screen Graphics & Imaging Association for over 40 years. In June 2008, President George W. Bush presented Lowell with the Congressional Medal of Distinction at a Presidential Dinner in Washington, DC. Lowell retired in 2011.
A Visitation will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Ave, Ontario on Monday, April 21st from 4-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm. On Tuesday, April 22nd, there will be a Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 11:30am at San Segundo d'Asti Catholic Church, 250 N. Turner Ave, Ontario followed by a procession to Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside for graveside services at 1:45pm. Immediately afterwards, there will be a reception at the Old Spaghetti Factory, 3191 Mission Avenue in Riverside.
