November 5, 1939 September 21, 2009 After a long battle with Cancer, God took Dale home. Dale was born to Martha and Dale McDowell, Sr. in Clairton, PA. He moved to California in March, 1960 and began his career with GTE. He retired after 36 years in 1996 with plans to travel the USA with his wife in their R.V. He met many wonderful friends during his travels. He is survived by Janet, his wife of 49 years. He was proud to have two wonderful children, Lynne Cooper and Dale C. McDowell, III. He has one granddaughter, Brandi Bruno, and his latest joy in life was his great-granddaughter Annisty. Also mourning are his sister Linda Hornfeck, her children Bruce, Monica, and Cindy, and the rest of his expanded family here in California.

Jan, my heart goes out to you and your family. I was glad I got to know Dale...a wonderful man. He was known here in NW Supply for wearing ties on "dress down" Fridays, his wonderful sense of humor and a very nice person to boot. I remember his laugh too. Some things you do not forget! I can still hear him laughing today, and he is probably telling jokes in heaven right now! I have also enjoyed the many jokes he has sent over the years and, while not always pleasant news, keeping up with the details on his health.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers
