Long time Colton resident Elsie Esposito passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by friends and family on Sunday afternoon January 27th 2013. She was 88 years old. Elsie and her beloved late husband Frank had moved west from New York in 1954. They came in search of the California dream and discovered their destiny in Colton where they settled and eventually built their house. Elsie's favorite time was spent working in her yard, tending her garden, and entertaining guests at her lovely home. She was an animal lover and was involved in several animal charities.
In her younger years Elsie worked as a medical assistant but retired early to spend more time with her husband and family. She was never afraid to speak her mind and share advice. Elsie was always generous and willing to give a helping hand. She was known for her great sense of humor and was an inspiration to many and loved by all.
Elsie was survived by numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
