Gary Jack Allera
With his family at his side, Gary peacefully passed away April 14, 2014 at the age of 71. Born Dec. 24, 1942 in Tarentum, PA, he was the eldest of three children to parents Mary and Dominick Allera. He was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and attended Penn State University before moving to California.
Gary will be forever missed by Linda, his wife of nearly 50 years, his two daughters, Christine (David) Williams, and Jennifer (Joe) Ponce, and his grandchildren; Cody and Devan Ponce, and Madeline and Dylan Williams. Other survivors include his sister Mary (Wayne) Kurrle, his brother Dennis, additional family members, and a multitude of friends.
An award winning mobile home dealer, Gary was a member of the California Mobile Home Institute, and the Garden Grove Elks. He was as generous as he was fierce; being an ultimate businessman, yet a gentle and loving family man. He loved all sports (especially baseball), fast cars, camping, and hosting parties and celebrations. Times spent with his family were his most cherished moments.
A celebration service will take place at 1pm, Sunday, May 4 at Crosslight Family Ministries, 9720 Wilson Ave. (corner of Archibald and Wilson), Alta Loma. Ingold Funeral Chapel was in charge of care.
