Born in Dinuba CA, grew up in Bakersfield CA, where he met his wife Jean (Mary Jean Wilkinson) and married her in 1951. Together they raised five children, Linda, Karen, Kathleen, Nancy and Mark.

Jack served in the US Navy, graduated Bakersfield College and UC Berkeley. He worked for I. Magnin & Co, transferred to Seattle WA and began his career with Mutual of New York. He transferred to Northridge, CA, in 1964 where he was Regional Mgr. for 33 years. After retiring from MONY he became an auctioneer and was a member of the CMSA. Jack was active in Rotary International serving as club president, district governor and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also active in Campfire Girls where he received national awards.

Jack and Jean moved to Prescott, AZ, in 2004. He enjoyed being Santa, fishing, woodworking, camping, beekeeping, his Model T, trains and was a Master Gardener, but his family was the most important thing in his life. Jack was an exceptional husband, father and grandfather. Besides Jean, his 5 children and their spouses, he leaves 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sat. Feb.16, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St. Prescott, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jack's memory to The Margaret T. Morris Center (878 Sunset Ave., Prescott, AZ 86305) or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America to pay tribute to his courage in battling this disease.
