GREEN, Paul C.

Paul Cutler Green, 91, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014 at his home in Glendora, CA. He was born on November 27, 1922 in
Pasadena, CA to William Howard Green and Carrie Cutler Green. He was the youngest of six children.

Paul spent his earliest years in Pasadena but spent most of his childhood living with his mother in the hills above Phelan, CA. He graduated from Victorville High School in Victorville, CA. After high school he attended Pasadena Junior College, and then served his country as a bomber pilot in the United States Navy, eventually stationed in the Pacific.

After completing his military service, he attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA where he obtained a B.S. degree in Business. Later, he obtained an M. A. in Education from California State University in Los Angeles.

He served the students of Pasadena for over 23 years as a respected and well-liked teacher and administrator in the Pasadena Unified School District. He served primarily at Loma Alta Elementary and Eliot Jr. High, as well as Vice-Principal at Longfellow Elementary, where he had attended as a young child.

Later in his education career he also served as a teacher and administrator who was assigned on shorter terms to various schools, including Hamilton, Jackson and Edison among others, often to deal successfully with particular school and classroom problems.

In addition to his teaching, he owned and operated a restaurant in Pasadena for several years, and owned and self-managed many real estate holdings throughout his life. He was a licensed Broker and held a lifetime California Broker's License. Since retiring as a teacher he has devoted his energies towards real estate development and investment, working on many projects until the day he died.

Paul loved music, fellowship, his church, his family, and his God. In every aspect of his life he strove to do good and help others of whatever age or race. His overarching goal was to enable people to be the very best they could be. In this aspect, among many others, Paul led a happy and successful life.

Paul was preceded in death in 2011 by his beloved wife, Ruth. He is survived by his son, Lauren Green and his wife, Juanita of Bartlesville, OK; his daughter, Marilin Turner and her husband, Larry of Glendora, CA, his daughter, Marjori Rowley and her husband, Patrick of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, his grandchildren Elizabeth Green, Daniel Green and his wife, Rebekah of Oklahoma, Ryan Turner, Andrew Turner, Erik Rowley and his wife, Amy, Jakob Rowley and his wife, Kathleen, and Nickolas Rowley of California.

A memorial service will be held at Glenkirk Church, 1700 E. Palopinto Avenue, Glendora, CA on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glenkirk Church, The Salvation Army, or a similar .
