Reynaldo L. Escarzaga Sr.
Born on May 11, 1927 in Riverside, California passed away on November 15th, 2012 in Redlands, California. Rey spent his early years in the Army during World War II where he earned the Army of Occupation medal and World War II Victory medals. After leaving active duty service, he worked for 35 years at Norton Air Force Base as a Pipe Fitter maintaining the heating and air conditioning systems throughout the base.
Rey was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Carmen Escarzaga. He is survived by his five children, Marian Annear of Highland, David Escarzaga of Hemet, Thomas Escarzaga of Laughlin NV, Cindy Symons of San Diego, and Rey Escarzaga Jr. of Highland, sister Emma Gutierrez of San Bernardino, brother Henry Escarzaga of Santa Barbara, He also leaves a heritage of 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Rey loved Bowling two to three time a week up till last year, he also coached Little League Baseball at Del Rosa Little League for 20 plus years.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Harrison-Ross Mortuary 738 East Highland Ave San Bernardino, Ca 92404 with guests invited to share their favorite memories from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will begin at Harrison-Ross Mortuary on Wednesday November 21, at 10:00 a.m. with Graveside services to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
