Scott David McCook
Of Rancho Cucamonga passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born on June 20, 1973 in Loma Linda, California. He is survived by his Fiancé' Stacia Schuster, his parents, Mac and Gaye McCook, his Grandfather, Bud Yearsley, his siblings and their spouses, Bob and Kahri McCook, Greg and Lisa Morin, Allen and Susan Madsen, David and Stacy Theobald and Randy and Kathy McCook as well as his nieces and nephews. He was a loving fiancé', son, brother and uncle. Scott was protector and defender of anyone who needed him, and a very loyal friend.
Scott attended La Verne Heights Elementary, Ramona Intermediate, Bonita High School and Mt. San Antonio College. He attended the University of California at Davis and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. Scott had a passion for football and loved playing defensive tackle for the Aggies.
Scott worked for NuVasive as a Senior Spine Specialist. He was a dedicated and driven employee. It was his drive and commitment that contributed to his success.
Scott had an enthusiasm for life and believed in working hard and playing hard. He enjoyed going to concerts, working out at the gym, UFC fights, traveling, holidays and spending time with his family and friends. His life ended too soon but he will always be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, big heart and loyalty to those he loved and cared about. He will be missed!
A funeral will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2645 Amherst Street, La Verne. Viewing 9:00 - 11:00 AM, Service 11:30 AM followed by an open house at 4:00 PM.
