Bill Yahne passed away surrounded by his family on April 5, 2014. He was a man of tremendous character and unconditional love and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sarabel, his children, Patricia Salyer, William Yahne, Richard Yahne, Christine Padilla and their spouses (Charles, Jeslyn, Brenda and Reuben). Bill was blessed with eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was raised by his grandparents in Fort Wayne Indiana, served in the United States Air Force during the Koran War, obtained a post graduate degree from Pepperdine University and was a Thirty Second Degree Mason. Bill was a Quality Control Engineer and worked in the defense industry for Martin Marietta and General Dynamics, the space industry at NASA and General Electric. Bill left the defense industry to work for Rain Bird Sprinklers where he retired.There will be a memorial service at Stone Funeral Home, 355 E. Ninth St, Upland, CA on Thursday, April 17th at 1:00 p.m. Reception following at the Upland Woman's Club, 590 North Second Ave., Upland, Ca.
