WARREN K. PARKER
1920-2012

Warren passed away quietly, Sunday, September 30 in his home in Sherman Oaks, California.

Warren was born November 28, 1920 in Los Angeles, California. He spent the summers of his formative years with the family vacationing in Balboa. Warren attended John Marshall High School and during the late 30's and early 40's he spent his summers in Lake Arrowhead where he would first meet his future wife Anna Frances Mole. Warren later attended USC where he was a member of the Water Polo team and again connected with Anna. Warren served in the US Army Core of Engineers during WWII (1943-1946). After marrying Anna in 1942, and his discharge from active service in January 1946, Anna & Warren embarked on a life dedicated to their family and community which consisted of (6) Children, 26 Grandchildren and 26 Great-grandchildren. Warren went to work for Anna's father, Peter Mole and together they helped to maintain and build the company that her father established in 1927, Mole-Richardson Co. At the passing of Anna's father in 1960, Warren assumed the role of President of Mole-Richardson Co. at the age of 39. Warren spent over 50 years helping Mole-Richardson Company grow and expand. As time passed and the next generation of the Parker family assumed leadership roles, Warren and Anna served as Co-Chairman of The Board of Mole-Richardson Co. until Anna's death on February 17, 2012 and Warren's passing. Warren and Anna would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary next month. Mole-Richardson Co. is celebrating 85 years of family owned business in 2012.

Warren was a long time member of the Lake Arrowhead Yacht Club, San Fernando Valley Pigeon Club, Newport Harbor Yacht Club, Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers, associate member of the ASC and the Motion Picture and Television Academy of Arts and Sciences. Warren was an active member of the Parent's Club at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School and Notre Dame High School where he was instrumental in maintaining the sports facilities. Warren's hobbies included his love of animals and growing avocados and oranges in his orchard, at his home.

Warren is survived by: (4) sons, and (2) daughters), Larry (Pam) of Toluca Lake, CA, Michael (Debra) of Toluca Lake, CA, Dennis (Linda) of Dana Point, CA, Peter (Susan) of Weed, CA, Theresa (Mike) Knode of Grand Junction, CO and Regina (David) Ptolemy of Parker, CO.

The celebration of his life will include: A private burial for family only, at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, CA. A public prayer service will be held, Monday, October 8, 2012, 5:00 PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Sherman Oaks, CA. with a reception immediately following. A strict dress code for the reception will be enforced- Collared Shirts are required. Jeans (any color) are NOT permitted.

Scholarship Funds in memory of Warren K. Parker will be established; The St. Francis de Sales Scholarship Fund and Notre Dame High School Scholarship Fund.
