Virginia Ramirez
Our Loving and Beautiful Mother went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2014, surrounded by all her family members, she died peacefully; We were blessed to have her as our Mom.
She was born March 13, 1927 to George and Eleanor Vasquez in Los Angeles. Virginia was the third of six children, and spent her days helping out on the family farm. The Vasquez family were neighbors to the Ramirez Family, Virginia met her childhood sweetheart at a very young age. Romance blossomed, Virginia and "Nacho" were married Nov. 15, 1952. They had four daughters and moved to Ontario in 1964.
Virginia devoted her time to family, she enjoyed cooking, sewing and working on craft projects with her daughters. Virginia also enjoyed going to the movies, church fiestas and dances. You could often find her cheering for her favorite teams, Lakers, and Angels. Virginia attended St. George Catholic Church in Ontario. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Frances Gomez (Herb), Suzanne Santiago (Fabian), Mary Lou Flores (Bill), and Angie Pedroza (Jose) 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and her brother Mario Vasquez.
She is preceded in Death by her husband, Ignacio, her parents George and Eleanor Vasquez, brothers, Salvador, Robert, Gregory and Sister Lupe Vasquez.
Visitation and Rosary will be held Thursday, Feb 20, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Stone Funeral Home. 355 E 9th Upland, CA 91786. Funeral Mass will be held Friday Feb. 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church 505 N. Palm Ave. Ontario CA. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Pomona.
