HELEN LORAINE (ORR) KNIGHTS

Helen Loraine (Orr) Knights, 88, was called home on June 14, 2013 to reunite with family and friends who were called before her.
Helen was born to William J. and Anne (Kingston) Orr on April 18, 1925 in Bellflower, CA. She graduated from Excelsior High School in 1943. She attended Cal-State Long Beach and graduated from UC Santa Barbara. She received her masters in education from Pepperdine University in 1975.
She taught school in Susanville, CA for a year then moved down to Imperial, CA. She taught at Imperial High School for 4 years then moved to El Centro. She taught at Harding Elementary School from 1960 until she retired in 1983.
In Spring of 1952 she met William F. Knights and they were married July 27, 1952.
Helen enjoyed reading, teaching, and children. She also enjoyed music. She was a 56 year member of the Imperial Valley Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #276 She will be greatly missed.
Those who were called home before her were her husband, William F. Knights, her parents, William J. and Anne Orr, her brothers, George and Lawrence Orr, and sisters Edna Mahaffie and Mary Ryman, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Knights.
Those who remain and await the happy reunion are her sons and daughter-in-law, Richard G. and Aletheia Knights of El Centro, CA and Steven M. Knights of San Pedro, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Robert B. Molloy of Spring, TX; sister, Mildred Orr of Lakewood, CA; grandchildren, Robert C. and Tina Molloy of Las Vegas, NV, Chrissy and Jorge Coffin of Spring, TX, David Molloy of Spring, TX, Rachel Knights of Bakersfield, CA, Sarah Knights of Porterville, CA, William C. Knights of Georgia, and Stephanie Knights of New Hampshire; great- grandchildren, William K. Molloy of Las Vegas, NV, Lilyana Coffin of Spring, TX and Adelaide Molloy of Las Vegas, NV and a nephew and nieces.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 23rd at Frye Funeral Home in Brawley. A graveside memorial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at 9 a.m. on June 24th.

My sincere sympathy to all family of Mrs.Knights.
She was my daughter's 2nd grade teacher @ Harding in the early 80's. Mrs Knights was a very loving, patient teacher who will remain in her students' hearts forever.
