Curtis Frank Vogel

Curtis Vogel, 51, of Brawley passed away February 25 due to heart failure.
Curtis Frank Vogel was born and raised in El Centro, CA. He attended McCabe Elementary school and graduated from Central Union High School, both in El Centro CA. Growing up he enjoyed going to work with his father Frank in the hay industary bailing for La Brucherie Farms and later himself worked for La Brucherie Farms. In later years, Curtis worked for United States Gypsum, Plaster City Plant, where he was employed for 25 years.
Services will be held Friday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in El Centro with Father Edward Horning officiating. A reception will immediately follow at Moose Lodge, 2310 Myrtle Road, in Imperial.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank L. Vogel and sister, Sandy Vogel Schallberger.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Brenda Vogel of Brawley; mother, Christina Vogel of El Centro; brother, Mark Vogel of Imperial; sister-in-law, Cecilia Griffiths; stepdaughter, Jessica Barroga; stepson, Joshua Barroga; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
