ESTHER "GUERA" HAM

May 18, 1935 - Feb. 6, 2013

Esther Ham, 77, of Calexico passed away Wednesday, February 6.
"La Guera", as she was known by her friends and family, was born May 18, 1935 in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico. She moved to Mexicali when she was a child and there she met her husband, Federico Ham (deceased), and started her family. Esther had 4 kids: Lumy, Oscar, David and Horacio. She raised them to be good hardworking people. She also helped raised her grandchildren and was called "Mague" by all of them. La Guera left a great legacy of infinite witty wisdom. She was a feisty, independent and strong woman. She will be missed, but we will always remember her blunt humor and rough yet tender love. We love her and she will be missed every day. Mague will live forever in our hearts.
Esther is survived by her children, Lumy, Oscar, David and Horacio Ham; grandchildren, Kelly, Ramon, Neyri, Oscar, Gabriel, David, Horacio and Fernanda; siblings: Lupe, Titina, Jesus, Antonio, Raquel and Maggie Haro; great- grandchildren, Dan, Daniella and Olivia; her daughters and sons-in-law, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
