Laveda Jeanette Fleming, age 70, died on March 23, 2013 at home in Casa Grande, AZ. Laveda was born August 23, 1942 in Blythe, California, the daughter of Henry and Mina Wooton.
Laveda graduated from Central High School, El Centro, California in 1960 and later in life received her registered nursing degree from Imperial Valley College. Upon retirement from nursing, Laveda and her husband, William (B.K.) Fleming, spent several years traveling the country as full time RVer's. In 2003 they settled in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Laveda was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she was an active volunteer and a member of the choir.
Laveda was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bonnie Kathleen; and her husband, William Fleming. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Awtry; her son, William Lee; her daughter, Sharon Stills and grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, and Brenden Lee and Lauren and Liam Stills.
Memorial service to be held Saturday, April 6th at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1100 E. Trinity Place, Casa Grande, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Laveda's name to the Casa Grande Humane Society, 15699 W. Aniceto Rd., Casa Grande, AZ 85193.
