June 11, 1930 - May 10, 2014

Delia was born on June 11, 1930 in Jalisco, Mexico. In 1949 she met and married Emeterio Vea Villanueva, who owned midway produce. Emeterio and Delia ran Midway Produce up through the eighties. Delia was also a chef in many restaurants in the Imperial Valley and also in the Salt Lake City area, later becoming an independent care giver to many. Delia's greatest passions were her family, cooking, sewing, gardening and doing volunteer work with different missionary organizations.
Delia is preceded in death by her husband, Emeterio Vea Villanueva.
She is survived by her son, Eddie R. (Cathy) Villanueva; daughters, Vicky R. Villanueva, Barbara Hill (Ron), Julia Rodriquez, Patricia Caro; grandchildren, Edward (Hollie) Villanueva, Nick (Maida) Villanueva, Joseph (Bonita) Hill, Paloma (Collin) Richard, Deci, Xotchitl and Metzli Rodriguez, Tyler Caro; great-grandchildren, Layla, Kirah, Ryan, Shaelyn and Nico Villanueva, Estella Richard, Victoria Hill, Kamran, Apollo, Faith and Chole Rodriquez, Aria Caro.
Viewing will take place Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro. Mass will commence at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
