Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13th at Frye Chapel in Brawley for Andrew Joseph Fleming, 25, who died in his home Monday, November 5, 2012 after losing a courageous two-year battle with cancer. A reception at the Stockmen's Club will follow the services.
Andrew, a lifetime resident of Brawley, was born November 21, 1986 in Pioneers Memorial Hospital. He grew up playing baseball , football and other sports and loved being out in the desert with his friends. He was a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles where he made many wonderful friends, was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity and received a BA in History. After graduation, he returned to Brawley to farm with his father Robert Fleming and his uncles Larry Fleming and Roy Motter.
Surviving him are his parents, Robert and Rosanne Fleming; sisters, Michelle Wyse and Lauren
Fleming; brother-in-law, Dan Wyse; nieces, Cathleen and Isabelle Wyse; beloved girlfriend, Megan
Strahm; grandparents, Jack Fleming, Roy and Sandy Austin; uncles, and aunts Larry and Mary Frances Fleming, Jaki and Roy Motter, Caroline and Dr. Robert Butler, Marsha Austin, Donald Austin, Cecilia Huff; as well as multiple other family members and numerous loving friends.
Andrew filled our hearts and minds with laughter, strength and encouragement. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched. "To love another person is to see the face of God." -Les Miserables, Andrew's favorite musical. In Andrew's memory, donations may be made in his name to the Imperial Valley/Brawley Boys
and Girls Club.
